Job summary

Porter Dodson LLP is seeking a Head of IT to lead an in-house technology function, setting the IT strategy and governance across a multi-site firm. You will work with partners and senior leadership to shape service delivery, security and technology investments, including AI initiatives and practice management systems.

You will manage a seven-strong IT team, oversee suppliers and partnerships, and drive a culture of high performance, resilience and client-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT in a professional services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategy and governance across multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of security, resilience and business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the firm's IT strategy aligned with business growth.
• Act as principal technology adviser to senior leadership and Partners.
• Lead IT transformation programmes and governance for projects and demand management.
• Own the AI strategy for improved legal service delivery and knowledge management.
• Oversee Peppermint Explorer and other legal technology platforms.
• Ensure data quality, reporting and reliable operational insight.
