Job summary

Carrington Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Architecture Leader to head our IT Architecture and Data function. This hybrid London-based role combines hands-on delivery with strategic governance to drive scalable, secure, cloud-first solutions.

You will define strategy, standards and roadmaps, influence senior stakeholders with credibility, and collaborate across business lines while travelling to UK sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in IT architecture and data; strong governance experience.
• Experience defining strategy, standards, governance and roadmaps in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration and technology architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient and supportable cloud/SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, AI governance, risk, assurance and control.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated or professional services environments is advantageous.
• Blended IT architecture, data governance background with CISO familiarity.
• Law firm or professional services background preferred.
• From a technical background into leadership with proven leadership skills.

Salary: £110,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven enterprise architecture leadership experience, including data architecture.
• Experience defining strategy, standards, governance and roadmaps in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration and technology architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient and supportable solutions across cloud and SaaS environments.
• Good knowledge of data governance, AI governance, risk, assurance and control.
• The ability to explain complex topics clearly and influence senior stakeholders with credibility.
• Experience in a regulated or professional services environment would be advantageous.
• We are looking for someone with a blended background in IT architecture, data and data governance.
• You will be familiar with CISO set-ups.
• We ideally want someone from a Law Firm background, or professional services at the very least.
• You should come from a technical background such as Solution Architecture or Data Architecture and have progressed into leadership.
• Proven leadership skills are essential.
