Job summary

Carrington Recruitment Solutions is recruiting for a Head of IT Architecture and Data, focused on IT architecture, data governance and leadership. The role is based in Birmingham with a hybrid arrangement, requiring office presence two days per week and occasional travel to other UK sites.

The candidate will bring a blended background in IT Architecture, Data and Data Governance, with hands-on and strategic capabilities, and strong leadership to guide enterprise initiatives across cloud and SaaS

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise architecture leadership experience, including data architecture.
• Experience defining strategy, standards, governance and roadmaps in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration and technology architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient and supportable solutions across cloud and SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of data governance, AI governance, risk, assurance and control.

Job description

Head of IT Architecture & Data, Data Governance, Birmingham, Part Remote

Head of IT Architecture & Data required to work for an exciting Law Firm based in Birmingham. This will be a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office circa 2 days per week, along with travelling to other UK sites on occasions.

We need someone with a blended background within IT Architecture, along with Data and Data Governance. You will be very familiar with CISO set-ups too and will be hands on, as well as strategic. Ideally we are looking for someone from a Law Firm background, or Professional Services at the very least.

Ideally you will come from a technical background, whether this be Solution Architecture or Data Architecture and have then blossomed into Leadership. You MUST have proven Leadership skills too.

Experience Required:

• Proven enterprise architecture leadership experience, including data architecture.
• Experience defining strategy, standards, governance and roadmaps in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration and technology architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient and supportable solutions across cloud and SaaS environments.
• Good knowledge of data governance, AI governance, risk, assurance and control.
• The ability to explain complex topics clearly and influence senior stakeholders with credibility.
• Experience in a regulated or professional services environment would be advantageous.
