Job summary

Carrington Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a Head of IT Architecture & Data for a Birmingham law firm. The role combines leadership with hands-on architecture, spanning data governance, security, and cloud strategies.

You will travel to UK sites as needed and work in a hybrid pattern with 2 days in the office. TOGAF certification is essential, and candidates should bring a blended background in IT Architecture and Data Governance.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise architecture leadership experience, including data architecture.
• Experience defining strategy, standards, governance and roadmaps in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of business, application, data, integration and technology architecture.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient and supportable solutions across cloud and SaaS environments.

• Experience in a regulated or professional services environment would be advantageous.

Job description

Head of IT Architecture & Data, Data Governance, Birmingham, TOGAF Certification Essential, Part Remote

Head of IT Architecture & Data required to work for an exciting Law Firm based in Birmingham. This will be a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office circa 2 days per week, along with travelling to other UK sites on occasions.

First and foremost, we need you to have the TOGAF certification. This is not negotiable unfortunately. We also need someone with a blended background within IT Architecture, along with Data and Data Governance. You will be very familiar with CISO set-ups too and will be hands on, as well as strategic. Ideally we are looking for someone from a Law Firm background, or Professional Services at the very least.

Ideally you will come from a technical background, whether this be Solution Architecture or Data Architecture and have then blossomed into Leadership. You MUST have proven Leadership skills too.

Experience Required:

We are looking for someone who combines senior security expertise with pragmatic leadership and strong stakeholder engagement. You will bring:
