Joshua Robert Recruitment is partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing organisation to appoint a Head of IT Operations in Birmingham. You will own the technology function, set IT strategy and lead a team to deliver transformation across the business.

The role offers a real opportunity to influence senior leadership, drive change and work across the whole organisation. It also includes pension, private healthcare and hybrid working arrangements as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Proven senior IT leadership experience.
• Track record delivering IT strategy and transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks and cyber security.
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers and third-party contracts.
• Able to explain technology in plain English to non-technical colleagues.

• Overseeing infrastructure, networks, applications and service delivery so the business runs smoothly every day
• Strengthening cyber security, data protection and business continuity

• Working with leaders across the business to understand their challenges and find the right technology solutions
• Keeping the business ahead of the curve by exploring new tools, including AI and data-driven solutions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience leading an IT function or team at a senior level
• A track record of delivering IT strategy and transformation projects
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks and cyber security
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers and third-party contracts
• A confident communicator who can explain technology in plain English to non-technical colleagues
• A natural leader who motivates people and builds high-performing teams
• Commercially minded, with a focus on how technology can drive business results
• Relevant qualifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, AWS or cyber security certifications are a bonus
