Job summary

Forsyth Barnes is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead a multi-site retail technology function in Milton Keynes. The role is hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH) reporting to the IT Director, with responsibility for a small internal team, suppliers and stores support.

You will oversee infrastructure, Dynamics 365 Business Central, networks and security, drive improvements, and help shape the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Head of IT, IT Manager or similar.
• Experience within retail or multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV or similar ERP.
• Strong leadership with a track record of developing teams.
• Experience managing suppliers and technology partners.
• Solid understanding of IT operations, infrastructure and service delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

About Us

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of IT / IT Manager to join a well-established multi-site retail business and take ownership of its day-to-day technology function.

Reporting directly to the IT Director, you'll lead a small internal team, manage key technology suppliers and play a pivotal role in supporting stores, head office and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine autonomy and influence across the business.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NAV or similar ERP platforms.


• Strong leadership experience with a track record of developing teams.


• Experience managing suppliers, service providers and technology partners.


• Sound understanding of IT operations, infrastructure and service delivery.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
