Job summary

Nottingham Trent University is seeking a Head of Infrastructure Technology to lead the strategic direction, delivery and enhancement of the university's digital infrastructure and research platforms. You will oversee architecture, roadmaps, engineering, operations and 2nd/3rd line service delivery to ensure high performance and security across campuses.

The role reports to the Deputy Director of Digital Technologies and requires collaboration with central research teams and academic schools.

About The Role

The Head of Infrastructure Technology is responsible for the strategic direction, delivery and continuous enhancement of NTU's digital infrastructure estate, core platforms and research infrastructure technology. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Digital Technologies, this role oversees the design, delivery and operation of modern, resilient and scalable infrastructure platforms that support the University's education and research objectives. The post-holder is responsible for infrastructure architecture, roadmaps, engineering, operations and 2nd & 3rd line service delivery, ensuring high levels of performance, reliability and security across all campuses. The role also provides strategic oversight of research infrastructure technology capabilities, ensuring alignment with institutional research priorities and emerging technologies working closely with the central research team and academic schools.
