Job summary

Astutis, part of Wilmington plc, seeks a Head of HSE Technical Services to lead the technical direction of our health, safety and environmental offerings. The role emphasizes NEBOSH/IEMA/IOSH alignment, high-stakes assessments, and continuous improvement across learning products and consultancy.

You will influence at senior levels, shape standards, and drive innovation, while coordinating audits and client-facing projects in a hybrid Cardiff-based role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in health and safety leadership roles, ideally within NEBOSH-accredited training centres or consultancy environments.
• Deep understanding of HSE legislation, risk management principles and audit readiness.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for HSE programmes and related qualifications.
• Lead quality assurance of learning materials, assessments and tutor guidance.
• Maintain relationships with awarding bodies and regulators (NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, BOHS).
• Drive regulatory responses and ensure accreditation standards are met across outputs.
• Provide leadership to technical, consultancy and quality teams and support capability development.
• Support product innovation and development of new courses and blended/digital learning.
