Job summary

Astutis, part of Wilmington plc, seeks a Head of HSE Technical Services to lead training and consultancy quality. You will set technical direction for NEBOSH, IOSH and IEMA programmes, ensure audit-ready processes, and steward client projects with senior stakeholders.

You will mentor teams, drive regulatory responses, and shape learning solutions including digital and blended formats across high-stakes assessments.

Qualifications

• Extensive health and safety leadership experience.
• Experience with NEBOSH accredited centres or programmes.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to manage regulated training or consultancy teams.
• Proven experience delivering high-stakes assessments.
• Experience as NEBOSH examiner or IOSH reviewer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority for NEBOSH, IOSH and IEMA programmes.
• Lead quality assurance of learning materials and assessments.
• Build relationships with awarding bodies and regulators.
• Drive responses to regulatory developments and changes.
• Ensure audit-ready processes across learning and consultancy outputs.
• Provide leadership to technical, consultancy and quality teams.
• Support product innovation in courses and blended learning.
• Represent Astutis at industry forums and review boards.
• Oversee delivery of client projects and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentor colleagues and drive cost-efficient quality.
