**Remote with travel to the Birmingham or Plumpton Office, internal/ external meetings, and other work-related events. In line with business needs and as mutually agreed**
At Genius Within CIC, we’ve worked hard for over a decade to lay the groundwork for a truly inclusive, flexible, and human-centred working culture—one that not only supports our staff, the majority of whom are neurodivergent and/or disabled, but also sustains our business goals and deepens our impact on neuroinclusion worldwide.
Following a new chapter for our current Head of HR, we’re now looking for someone to continue and enhance the work built on this strong foundation as we continue to grow.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a values-driven HR function where inclusion, clean feedback, and flexibility are already embedded—not aspirational. Your role will be to scale and deepen these practices with transparency, care, and strategic insight—grounded in evidence-based, neuroinclusive approaches.
What You’ll Be Leading
You’ll guide the next stage of our people strategy—shaping how we evolve, support, and grow our workforce in line with our mission. You’ll focus on:
Organisational Development
Designing neuroinclusive policies and structures—such as universal job design frameworks, job crafting tailored to individual strengths, and inclusive workflows that account for different processing styles. This includes using various communication tools (e.g. written updates instead of meetings, video updates etc), and embedding universal design principles into all people processes.
Culture & Psychological Safety
Enhancing our established clean feedback culture through regular check in’s, reinforcing psychologically safe team spaces, and accessibility-first communication. You'll help embed trauma-informed HR practices and create safe avenues for expressing needs and giving clean feedback, using tools like mentimeter, anonymous pulse surveys, regular 1:1 meetings and tailored facilitation spaces.
Workforce Planning
Taking a long-term view of staffing needs by integrating job crafting, flexible career paths, and strengths-based matching. You'll use data to forecast needs and identify internal talent growth opportunities, while ensuring recruitment and promotion practices continue to work well for neurodivergent and disabled candidates
Performance & Growth
Embedding and extending the use of our Genius Finder tool to support strengths-based development, promote collaboration, and tailor coaching and learning. You'll work closely with managers to ensure every team member has access to personalised growth pathways, development that fits their learning style, and evidence based supportive performance feedback that builds confidence and clarity.
As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll ensure our people practices remain fair, human, and strategically aligned with our long-term goals—while continuously innovating through the lens of neuroinclusion.
What Makes You Right for This Role
You’ll thrive here if you’re a collaborative and courageous HR leader who’s excited to build on what’s already working.
