Birmingham City University invites applications for a Director of Growth, Enterprise and Engagement to lead the Growth, Enterprise and Engagement directorate. You will drive income diversification, strategic partnerships, and innovation to support Strategy 2030, shaping growth into new markets and championing regional leadership across the West Midlands.

You will lead a team of professionals, collaborate with academic leaders and services, and strengthen employer engagement and employability

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading enterprise, business development or external engagement in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong track record developing strategic relationships and income through partnerships and engagement.
• Ability to work with academic and professional services leaders to translate priorities into partnerships.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across academia, business and public sector environments.

• Develop and deliver the directorate’s strategy for growth, income diversification, enterprise and external engagement with measurable outcomes.
• Lead regional engagement and representation through strategic bodies, partnerships and alliances to grow influence.
• Build high-value partnerships with employers, government, civic and cultural organisations translating into institutional benefits.
• Position STEAMhouse and its services as drivers of business growth and regional prosperity with external funding and services.
• Lead teams delivering business development, innovation, knowledge exchange and entrepreneurship.
