Jagex: The RuneScape Company is seeking a Marketing Director to own the game’s marketing strategy, growth of its subscriber base, and the marketing budget. You will sit on the game leadership team with direct ownership of plans and collaborate with central marketing to align activity with the game’s direction.

The role requires significant leadership experience in games or live-service entertainment, with a track record of growing audiences and delivering measurable ROI across diverse channels.

Formación

• Significant marketing leadership experience in games or a live-service entertainment business.
• Proven track record of growing a subscriber, membership or user base through acquisition and re-engagement marketing with measurable results.
• Experience owning and allocating a marketing budget of comparable scale with demonstrated ROI.
• Working knowledge of channels and platforms including creator partnerships, social, performance marketing and lifecycle marketing.
• Commercial and analytical capability to plan and evaluate activity using measures such as CPA, LTV, conversion rate and ROAS.
• Experience setting marketing strategy and reporting performance to senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading marketing specialists (e.g., product marketing, social media).
• Experience influencing across central or matrixed functions (CRM, Paid Media, Brand, PR).
• Strong understanding of community impact on live games and how insights inform decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Own and deliver the marketing strategy for the game and drive player acquisition, re-engagement and membership inflow.
• Serve on the game leadership team and influence overall direction and commercial performance.
• Shape goals and connect them to the company-wide marketing strategy to support priorities.
• Own the game’s marketing budget and allocate spend with defined ROIs.
• Plan and direct campaigns across the calendar, launches, events and always-on activity.
• Line-manage Product Marketing Managers and Social Media Managers with clear objectives.
• Collaborate with Brand, Events, PR, Merchandise and Performance Marketing for aligned activity.
• Bring in specialist central Marketing expertise when needed.
• Translate business goals into marketing plans with clear objectives and budgets.
• Monitor and report marketing performance to senior leadership, including DAU and revenue contribution.
• Develop and test new approaches and scale those with measurable returns.
• Build deep understanding of the game’s community to inform strategy and messaging.
