Job summary

Boston Rose in Hillingdon is seeking a Head of Additional Learning Support (Foundation Learning) to lead the ALS provision for High Needs learners across two FE sites. The role reports to the Director of Foundation Learning and is newly created.

You will manage funding, assess needs per EHCPs, lead a team of staff, and drive performance against ALS and Adult Skills Budget targets, with a salary of £50,718 to £56,781 p/a and a generous teacher pension.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or professional experience at an appropriate level.
• Proven experience of managing Additional Learning Support (ALS).
• Experience assessing learners’ needs and maintaining records to high standards.
• Experience with Local Authorities and funding for High Needs placements and ALS/Adult Education Budget.
• Strong knowledge of SEND code of practice and its implementation.
• Experience leading teams and staff management.

Responsibilities

• Manage ALS provision for High Needs learners and coordinate funding, claims and documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of support per EHCPs to a high standard.
• Lead and manage a team of staff delivering outstanding learning support.
• Deliver against performance targets for ALS funding, Adult Skills Budget funding, recruitment, retention, attendance and achievement.
