Job summary

Harrow College is seeking a Head of Additional Learning Support for Foundation Learning to oversee ALS provision across Harrow and Uxbridge campuses. The post reports to the Director of Foundation Learning, combining strategic leadership with hands-on management of support services for High Needs learners.

You will lead a team, ensure compliance with funding streams, and drive improvements in learner experience and outcomes, while working across both sites in a full-time on-campus role.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional experience at an appropriate level.
• Proven experience of managing additional learning support in FE and improving learner experience.
• Experience assessing learners' needs and maintaining records to high standards.
• Experience with Local Authorities and agencies for High Needs placements and funding.
• Knowledge of ALS funding and Adult Education Budget funding.
• Strong knowledge of SEND code of practice and its implementation.
• Experience in leading teams and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage ALS provision for High Needs learners at Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges, overseeing funding, claims and documentation.
• Ensure learners receive full range of support as per EHCPs in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Lead and support a team to deliver outstanding learning support.
• Deliver against performance targets for ALS funding, Adult Skills Budget funding and learner metrics.
