Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

The Role:

The Group FP&A team acts as financial business partners to senior managers, responsible for tailored financial reporting and analysis, including monthly management accounts, business performance analysis, annual budgets, and 5-year plans. You will manage this team, report to the Group CFO, and lead in delivering these reports as well as implementing a new global planning & reporting tool.

This senior finance role combines strategic oversight with hands-on responsibilities in preparing global financial reports and developing analysis to support effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare consolidated Group management accounts packs and support analysis to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Prepare tailored monthly reports with insightful commercial analysis, KPIs, and trends globally (sales, margins, manufacturing, overheads, working capital)
• People management of all management accountants in the FP&A team
• Collaborate with the Group IT team to implement a new global financial planning and management reporting system
• Develop and coordinate the monthly reporting timetable to ensure deadlines are met
• Prepare monthly P&L forecasts
• Coordinate the budget process and prepare consolidated information packs and analysis
• Develop and deliver the 5-Year Plan reports
• Act as Business Partner to operational and commercial stakeholders to meet financial targets
• Support decision-making by Group CFO and CEO with relevant data and KPIs

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with at least 10 years’ experience in FP&A
• Proven management experience of a month-end FP&A team
• Experience in complex, global, and evolving commercial environments
• Management of comprehensive budget processes for a global business
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product-based sectors
• Advanced Excel skills and experience implementing new reporting tools
