An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Finance Director to join one of the UK's most successful FTSE listed real estate property developers based in London, as a Head of FP&A.

This is an ideal entry point into the business where the successful candidate will work on various FP&A projects across the head office. The overriding objective is to prepare the incoming candidate for a Finance Director position in 2-3 years.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, this position will lead the central FP&A function, covering responsibilities such as:

1. Weekly and monthly stakeholder reporting, including bi-monthly Board Reporting and month-end close processes;
2. Collaborating with Operating Businesses to ensure consistency and accuracy in their books;
3. Challenging business forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities;
4. Liaising with external auditors and overseeing half-year and year-end audits;
5. Overseeing balance sheet and overheads;
6. Coordinating and reviewing management information reporting packs and Board Packs;
7. Driving the business to meet project and corporate forecasts and targets;
8. Managing the consolidation and presentation of monthly profit and cash flow forecasts;
9. Preparing ad-hoc analysis and reports, utilizing Excel to manipulate large datasets;
10. Using monthly review meetings to deepen understanding of business strategy within the team;
11. Supporting the Finance Director in stakeholder requirements;
12. Overseeing a team of 2-3 people.

Person Requirements

• ACA / CA Qualified with excellent academic background and post-qualification industry experience;
• Ambitious, seeking a Path to Head of Finance / Finance Director within 2-3 years;
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in UK Property Development;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders;
• Analytical mindset, capable of challenging information and applying key principles for accuracy;
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Financial Modelling;
• High energy, diligent, and detail-oriented;
• Enjoys working at pace in an entrepreneurial, finance-led environment;
• Hands-on approach when required;
• Comfortable being office/site based at least 3-4 days per week.
