Position

As the Head of Finance at Traffic Label, you will lead the financial department, managing a small, international, and remote team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this hands-on role oversees all aspects of the finance function and plays a key part in shaping our financial operations and business strategy. You will work closely with the Managing Director, contributing to Traffic Label’s growth and success. Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute the core financial processes, including monthly management accounts, budget planning, year-end reporting, audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Lead business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across multiple divisions, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and track performance against budgets, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Build and refine financial models to support business cases, evaluate opportunities, and guide strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial due diligence for new business opportunities, offering clear and strategic insights.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances, offering corrective measures where necessary.
• Oversee cash flow management, financial reporting, and operational finance functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and commercial departments, to assess the financial impact of strategies and opportunities.

The ideal candidate:

• Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is desirable.
• Full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• Approximately 5+ years of proven accounting experience with expertise in financial and accounting procedures.
• Experience to identify and implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
• Advanced skills in financial modelling and MS Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and improve core financial processes while providing strategic financial insights.
• Proven track record of managing concurrent work-streams and meeting deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Experience preparing and presenting financial reports, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments and foster collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of Sage and financial systems, including PO and expense approval systems.
