Vorwerk UK & IE is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the Accounting and Controlling functions in a multi-currency international group. You’ll drive financial reporting, planning, and performance management while developing the Finance team and ensuring strong controls and compliance.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, deliver timely insights, and sustain continuous improvement across the function.

Head of Finance (m/f/d) - Why this role matters

Join Vorwerk UK & IE as Head of Finance and take overall responsibility for both Accounting and Controlling. In this role, you’ll lead the Finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, effective planning, and commercial performance management.

Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping financial strategy, providing meaningful business insights, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll lead and develop the Finance team, strengthen processes and systems, and ensure the business operates with financial transparency, efficiency, and compliance.

What you’ll do

• Lead and develop both Accounting and Controlling functions, ensuring efficient operations, strong financial controls, and high-quality financial insights.
• Oversee financial accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and internal and external audits.
• Own monthly management reporting, Group reporting, and financial performance analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring across both business divisions.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers, translating financial data into actionable business recommendations.
• Act as a strategic business partner to senior management, supporting commercial decisions and long-term financial planning.
• Drive improvements in Finance systems, processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal policies, and Group requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Director and Vorwerk Group functions, including Corporate Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What you bring

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management.
• Strong experience across both Accounting and Controlling, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing Finance team.
• Experience working in an international, multi-currency business environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear recommendations and business insights.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Confident stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with senior leadership and both financial and non-financial teams.
• A proactive approach to process improvement, digitalisation, and change management.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems would be beneficial.
