Coventry Building Society is seeking a Head of Enterprise Controls to lead the 1LoD risk and controls function from Coventry or Manchester, with hybrid working patterns. The role focuses on strengthening control environments, governance and assurance across the organisation to support sustainable growth and strong customer outcomes.

You will chair critical control testing, control effectiveness reviews and incident management, reporting to Executive and Board committees.

Competenze

• Significant experience leading enterprise controls and 1LoD risk functions within large regulated financial services organisations.
• Proven group-wide leadership experience, including leading managers and specialist teams.
• Strong communication with Executive Committees and Boards.

Mansioni

• Lead development and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide first line risk and control frameworks, governance and assurance activities.
• Manage 1st Line managers and teams across customer outcomes testing, QA, critical control testing and control effectiveness reviews.
• Own and enhance Group Operational Resilience, incident management, business continuity and crisis management frameworks.
• Monitor and report risk appetite, control performance, emerging risks and assurance outcomes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive a risk-aware culture and effective non-financial risk management.
• Deliver high-quality insight, reporting and assurance to Executive and Board Committees.
