Job summary

Few&Far is seeking a Hybrid Head of Engineering to own people, process, and technical direction for a profitable B2B SaaS platform. You will report to the Founder and professionalise the engineering function at a pivotal growth moment.

You'll lead hiring, define career progression, establish scalable delivery rituals, and drive data-driven decision-making while embedding AI across the team to boost productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Experience building software engineering teams within an early stage startup.
• Experience in B2B SaaS and understanding the nuances of B2B product development.
• You are a first-principles thinker, data-driven, capable of challenging upwards with gravitas and clear communication.
• You are experimenting with AI beyond basics and considering its impact on team workflows and tooling strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the people function: lead day-to-day engineering leadership, 1:1s, progression frameworks, performance management, and hiring.
• Build processes that enable scale: establish lightweight but rigorous delivery rituals, engineering metrics, and architectural decision-making frameworks.
• Drive systematic AI adoption: embed AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve development cycles, code quality, and productivity.
• Partner with product and business: ensure engineering is a strategic partner with a voice in architectural decisions alongside the CTO.
