Job summary

Padstone Recruitment Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager for a renewable energy installer. You will lead the electrical department, manage engineers and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to high standards.

You will provide technical support on site, enforce BS 7671 compliance, oversee testing/certification, maintain NAPIT/MCS accreditations and work closely with the Technical Director and other managers.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising electrical engineers.
• Experience with solar PV, battery storage and renewable energy installations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing and certification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Hands-on capability to assist engineers on site when needed.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the electrical engineers and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate electrical installations to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineers on site.
• Ensure all installations comply with BS 7671 and industry standards.
• Oversee electrical testing, inspection, certification and quality control.
• Manage electrical aspects of solar PV, battery storage and heat pump installs.
• Carry out site surveys and assist with specifications and quotations.
• Maintain NAPIT compliance and support MCS accreditations.
• Collaborate with Technical Director and other department managers.
• Take responsibility for development and improvement of the electrical department.
• Remain hands-on when required to support engineers on site.
