Job summary

Tarmac is seeking a Head of Electrical for the Dunbar Cement Plant near Edinburgh. You will lead a multi-functional maintenance team, drive electrical reliability and sustainability initiatives, and report to the Assistant Engineering Manager.

The role requires senior engineering experience in heavy industry, high voltage knowledge, and compliance with UK electrical regulations. A strong track record in budgeting and people management is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Experience with ATEX and DSEAR and/or CompEx qualification.
• Solid knowledge of UK electricity at work regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as champion for engineering improvements and best practices for the plant.
• Deliver improvement projects, formulate financial plans and execute work.
• Apply preventative and predictive maintenance and contribute to plant improvements.
• Highlight long-term plant risks to senior management and assist with repair plans.
• Develop capex CIAs and budgets for plant improvements while managing monthly budgets.
