Tarmac is seeking an experienced Head of Electrical for the Dunbar Cement Plant near Edinburgh. You will lead the electrical team, champion engineering improvements, and ensure compliance with UK electricity at work legislation.

The role requires senior management experience in heavy industry and strong budget control. You will develop CAPEX plans, oversee maintenance programs, and drive safety through proactive monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications

• Senior management experience in heavy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of high voltage infrastructure and electrical systems.
• Understand UK electricity at work legislation and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Champion engineering improvements and promote best practice for the plant.
• Deliver improvement projects with financial plans and execution.
• Apply preventative and predictive maintenance to drive plant improvements.
• Highlight long-term plant risks and assist with repair plans.
• Ensure sustainable performance aligned to objectives, values and behaviours.
• Develop capex plans and manage monthly budgets and overspend.
• Ensure electrical statutory inspections are carried out and actions completed.
• Conduct weekly safety briefings and support near-miss reporting.
