DCS Engineering is proud to be partnering exclusively with a prestigious, industry-leading organisation to recruit a Head of Delivery – Bulk Operations.

This is a critical senior leadership role within a major UK industrial operation, offering the successful candidate a rare opportunity to shape and lead one of the most complex and high-impact transport delivery networks in the country. The role involves full strategic and operational responsibility for the internal bulk and cryogenic delivery platforms, which are essential to the organisation’s overall success.

About the Role

As Head of Delivery – Bulk, you will:

• Lead national Bulk Gas Delivery operations, ensuring exceptional performance in safety, service delivery, and cost management.
• Develop and execute the Bulk Delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with global best practices and regional Centres of Competence.
• Oversee the operational planning, technical compliance, and day-to-day leadership of a £44M cost centre.
• Act as the senior point of contact for transport governance, union relations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic and operational performance of bulk transport operations across the UK.
• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team of transport and logistics professionals.
• Maintain and strengthen stakeholder relationships across Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance.
• Serve as lead negotiator for union matters and oversee trade union relationships.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance and maintain oversight of Operator License standards and audit requirements.
• Represent the UK in global networks, contributing to the development of best practice transport solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant senior leadership experience in transport or logistics, preferably within a regulated, safety-critical environment.
• Strong track record of managing large teams, complex budgets, and operational change.
• In-depth knowledge of safety, legal, and governance frameworks related to transport operations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with trade unions in a leadership capacity is essential.
