Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction legislation.
• Experience managing design from pre-construction through to completion.
• Strong understanding of buildability, technical detailing and design risk.
• Experience coordinating architectural, structural, MEP and specialist design.
• Strong consultant and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to review and challenge technical information and resolve complex design issues.
• Strong leadership, commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Design & Build experience.
• Building Safety Act knowledge.
• Major residential, commercial or mixed-use project experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and technical coordination function across multiple projects.
• Manage and coordinate architects, engineers, MEP consultants and specialist designers.
• Ensure architectural, structural, MEP and subcontractor designs are fully coordinated.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical, interface and buildability issues.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, relevant legislation and technical standards.
• Monitor design programmes, information release schedules and consultant performance.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Identify and manage design and construction risk.
• Support value engineering while maintaining quality, compliance and functionality.
• Work closely with commercial, operational and construction teams.
• Chair design coordination meetings and ensure actions are completed.
• Develop and maintain design standards, procedures and quality assurance processes.
• Provide senior technical advice and support across the business.
• Lead, mentor and develop the design and coordination team.
