Job summary

Pinpoint, a UK software company, is hiring a Head of Data who will own data strategy, governance and the end-to-end data platform. You will work across product, engineering and commercial teams to shape data capabilities and drive data-informed decision making.

You'll oversee our Google Cloud, BigQuery, and in-house data tools, collaborate with AI engineering, and ensure data quality, safety, and scale as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Led data strategy or a data function in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
• Built a lean data stack and governance in a B2B SaaS context.
• Expert SQL and data modelling with Dataform/dbt, plus Python coding.
• Hands-on with BigQuery or similar cloud warehouse and modern ELT.
• Proven track record delivering usable data products for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Set the data strategy and data governance across the organization.
• Own the data platform roadmap end-to-end, including customer intelligence.
• Provide tooling for product teams to self-serve data usage.
• Deliver clear data views to Customer Success, Sales and Marketing.
• Monitor data quality, dictionary, and AI-safety for data usage.
• Collaborate with AI engineering and CTO to scale data initiatives.
