Job summary

Vocative Consulting is seeking a Data & Insights Manager to shape analytics strategy and lead a high-performing team in a hybrid Taunton-based role. You’ll drive enterprise data initiatives, governance, and executive reporting to influence decisions at the highest level.

You’ll lead Power BI and other platforms, evolve data infrastructure, and mentor analysts, delivering insights that translate into growth across Finance, Operations, Marketing and HR.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in data analytics or insights leadership with proven team-building.
• Proven track record delivering an enterprise analytics strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Expert-level knowledge of BI/data viz platforms (Power BI/Tableau/Looker/Qlik) including dashboard design and modelling.
• Hands-on experience designing Power BI datasets, dashboards, and paginated reports.
• Experience delivering ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and modern visualization end-to-end.
• Strong commercial acumen—translating data into growth-focused decisions.
• Excellent communicator and influencer from engineers to board members.
• Degree in related field; CBIP or MS Power BI certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive an enterprise-wide analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish and own Data Governance (quality, security, compliance).
• Champion a data-driven culture at executive and board level.
• Convert commercial insight into trading, product and sales recommendations.
• Evolve the model tracking marketing channels and programmatic strategies.
• Lead on Power BI, Data Lakes, Lakehouse and ML capabilities.
• Lead, develop, and mentor Data Analysts and Engineers.
• Build self-serve insight capability across Finance, Operations, Marketing and HR.
