Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group in London or Manchester seeks a Head of Engineering for Convo AI to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering scalable Conversational AI experiences for customer interactions.

You will own engineering delivery, people leadership, security and resilience, collaborating with Product, Data, Architecture and Platform teams to advance GenAI, agentic AI and intelligent assistants across customer journeys. Hybrid working with two office days is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, organising and leading high-performing multidisciplinary engineering teams in large-scale digital, technology or platform environments.
• Experience delivering customer-facing Conversational AI, GenAI, Agentic AI or intelligent assistant capabilities with modern software engineering and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to manage delivery roadmaps, workforce plans, budgets, technology risks and strategic platform goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for building and scaling Conversational AI experiences for Lloyds Banking Group customers.
• Own engineering delivery, people leadership, and operational excellence across a portfolio of Conversational AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Architecture and Platform teams to deliver scalable GenAI and AI-powered journeys.
• Drive security, resilience, and customer trust through production-ready, measurable engineering practices.
