Job summary

British Steel in Scunthorpe is seeking a Head of Continuous Improvement to lead the creation and embedding of a world-class CI capability. You will shape strategy, build a high-performing team and drive cultural change across the business.

Responsibilities include developing and deploying the improvement strategy, embedding Lean/Six Sigma, and delivering measurable safety, quality, productivity and cost benefits across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and support functions.

Qualifications

• Significant Lean, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence experience in a complex manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Track record of delivering operational, financial and cultural transformation.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills.
• Credibility to engage from shop floor to the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of British Steel’s improvement strategy.
• Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, reliability and cost performance.
• Embed Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across functions and build internal capability.
• Create a culture where continuous improvement is part of everyday work.
• Identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and deliver sustainable business results.
