Job Description:

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content for a 13-month fixed-term contract to lead and shape the content strategy of a mission-driven non-profit organization. This role will oversee the creation, management, and strategic placement of all organic content across digital and social channels, targeting a core audience of 18-24 year-olds.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the content team, managing the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Deliver a comprehensive content strategy across digital channels, including website, email, social media, and paid campaigns.
  • Produce and oversee innovative, insight-driven content to enhance brand awareness.
  • Develop and manage content production plans, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
  • Implement a test-and-learn program for content optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive website and SEO strategies.
  • Oversee in-house paid social media campaigns, primarily on Meta platforms.
  • Manage the content team budget, including quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Report and analyze social and digital content performance, driving improvements.
  • Contribute to leadership discussions and cross-departmental initiatives.

Your superpowers:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management-level content role (e.g., Head of Content, Senior Digital Marketing Manager).
  • Proven experience delivering strategic content plans and managing cross-departmental requests.
  • Strong knowledge of creating and optimizing content for youth-focused audiences (18-24).
  • Demonstrable experience with paid social campaigns and content creation.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital marketing, social platforms (Instagram, TikTok), and content tools.
  • Experience in budget management and forecasting.
  • Data-driven, with experience in tracking and reporting on campaign success.
  • Experience working in the charity sector or with youth-focused brands.
  • Knowledge of gaming activations.
