Job summary

Procter Street are recruiting for an experienced Head of Commercial to lead the commercial function across a varied civil engineering portfolio in the North West. You will manage a dedicated commercial team, protect profitability, mitigate contractual risk and drive continuous improvement in commercial processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in civil engineering or infrastructure commercial management.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commercial Team, mentoring QS and support staff.
• Oversee NEC3/NEC4 contract administration with notices and variations.
• Produce CVRs, forecasts and project reports with variance analysis.
• Manage interim valuations, payments and final accounts to maximise value.
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor management with risk allocation.
• Identify risks, maintain records and ensure compliance.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial systems and reporting.
