We are seeking to fill a newly created position to lead the Claims Oversight team, aiming to enhance the performance of our members and elevate the status of Claims in the Lloyd’s market.

This leadership role involves ensuring that claims management is central to Lloyd’s business operations and aligns with Lloyd’s principles. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing external entities, overseeing end-to-end processes, and performance, with backgrounds possibly in Claims, Delegated Authority, Audit, or Operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing the Claims Oversight Team to ensure Managing Agents (‘MAs’) provide a claims service that meets Lloyd’s expectations, supports syndicate performance, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  2. Making considered, risk-based decisions to achieve the right outcomes through effective oversight and collaboration.
  3. Developing and promoting a ‘best in class’ approach to Claims management.
  4. Monitoring MAs' adherence to Lloyd’s Claims Principles, identifying and addressing potential risks, and proactively escalating issues.
  5. Communicating qualitative assessment results to foster open dialogue.
  6. Using claims data to improve overall performance.
  7. Collaborating on claims reviews and thematic work for quality assurance.
  8. Providing timely internal reports on behalf of the Claims Oversight Team.
  9. Designing and maintaining effective engagement models with senior management at MAs, the Corporation, brokers, and market groups.

Reporting to the Claims Director, this role is part of the claims leadership team, playing a vital role in the strategic and operational oversight of the market.
