About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring, ambitious, and highly skilled Head of Chemistry to lead our Chemistry department and drive excellence across the subject. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape curriculum delivery, raise standards, and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Chemistry department, managing staff, resources, and curriculum planning
  • Teach Chemistry across KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Monitor student progress, implement effective interventions, and ensure outstanding outcomes
  • Develop and innovate the Chemistry curriculum to engage and challenge learners
  • Contribute to departmental and whole‑school initiatives, including enrichment and STEM promotion
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff within the department

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record in Chemistry teaching
  • Has leadership experience in a departmental or curriculum role
