Having made great progress in raising brand awareness and both developing and executing a content-led marketing approach, there is now a need and opportunity to define Charles Stanley’s brand and enhance saliency. The role will be responsible for the creative identity and direction of the brand through all online and offline creative imagery and content ensuring consistency and one voice across client touch points. In so doing you will partner with multiple functions to meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Brand Development: Working with the Group Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure the brand strategy remains relevant and effective. To continuously critique and develop new ideas to move the brand forward, ensuring a distinctive positioning in the wealth management market. To oversee the creative direction of the brand identity through all imagery, content and editorial, influencing across all areas of the business. To work with other marketing colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure that brand integrity is maintained and built upon.
  • Creative Direction: To direct and oversee creative direction across all brand assets on-line and off-line ensuring consistency across all touch points. To develop and own Charles Stanley’s content strategy, working on a collaborative basis with the Content Committee. Oversee external creative agencies relationships when necessary. Responsible for management and control of the brand and creative budget, working with other team Heads as relevant.
  • Team Management: To lead the brand and creative team, consisting of four creatives and one content writer. Coach and support direct line reports (Creative Manager and Content Writer) through regular updates and performance reviews. To oversee the enhancement in capability of the team, reducing reliance on agency support where appropriate.
  • Other: Ensure all content is compliant with financial promotions regulations and adheres to Charles Stanley’s processes.

Established experience of:

  • Determining brand architectures
  • Developing and executing brand positioning strategies
  • Developing and launching new brands into market
  • Developing and executing content strategies
  • Working in the UK financial services sector, preferably wealth management
  • Working with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Leadership and building and developing teams to succeed

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Creative thinker
  • Ability to multi-task,manage and prioritise projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Commercially minded with strong supplier management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with individuals at all levels across the group as well as external stakeholders
  • Must have the intellectual capacity to learn and understand Charles Stanley’s wide range of products and services, our competitors and our target market and be able to translate such understanding into meaningful initiatives.
