Venn Group is recruiting on behalf of a large NHS Trust in Surrey for a Head of Assurance to lead a newly established function across a complex healthcare estate.

You will drive statutory compliance, governance, and operational excellence, overseeing teams in compliance, health & safety, CAFM, and asset management across multiple sites. Start ASAP; 3–6 month initial contract with potential permanency.

Qualifications

• Senior Estates & Facilities compliance/assurance leadership experience.
• Technical or engineering qualification with CPD.
• Knowledge of NHS estates regulations, HTMs, HBNs, Health & Safety and CQC.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Healthcare or NHS Estates experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Trust-wide Assurance function to meet statutory & NHS standards.
• Develop compliance strategy with governance, audits, and reporting.
• Provide leadership on hard services, asset management, H&S, and engineering assurance.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, risk management, and reporting to execs.
• Manage teams for compliance, H&S, CAFM, assets, CAD/BIM, utilities.
• Collaborate with Estates, Capital, Quality, Sustainability to drive improvement.
• Ensure maintenance, PPM programmes, and asset activities follow NHS guidance.
