VennGroup is assisting a large local authority in recruiting a Head of Estates and Facilities. The role sits in the senior leadership team and carries strategic responsibility for a property portfolio valued at over £100m, driving asset performance, regeneration, and service improvement.

The position is permanent, full-time, and hybrid. The ideal candidate will hold an MRICS qualification with substantial post-qualification experience, with a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams,

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience managing complex property portfolios and asset management programmes.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals, and strategic estate planning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary property, estates, or facilities teams.
• Proven track record of delivering income growth, efficiency savings, and service improvements.

Responsabilités

• Lead the strategic management and optimisation of a large and diverse property portfolio.
• Develop and deliver asset management strategies and estate plans.
• Oversee commercial property activities, including lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Manage facilities management and property maintenance services across the operational estate.
• Lead capital investment planning, valuations, and property-related business cases.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property governance and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for income generation, regeneration, and service transformation.
• Provide strategic property advice to senior officers, elected members, and stakeholders.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary estates and facilities team.
