Fortis Academy in Birmingham is seeking a dynamic Head of Art to lead and shape the delivery of Art across the academy. You will inspire creativity, drive attainment and develop an engaging curriculum for students from GCSE to post-16 pathways.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong classroom practice, and a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing within a large academy community.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading and improving Art teaching and outcomes.
• Ability to mentor and motivate colleagues to deliver high standards.
• Experience designing engaging, inclusive Art curricula and schemes of work.
• Strong use of assessment data to drive attainment and progress.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Art department to raise attainment.
• Develop an ambitious, inclusive Art curriculum aligned with the academy’s goals.
• Lead a team of teachers, setting high expectations and monitoring progress.
