Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Applied AI ML Director in Risk Management & Compliance. You will guide AI/ML strategy, shape GenAI adoption, and build a high-performing team across data science, product, engineering and lines of business.

You will mentor and enable rapid prototyping, ensuring solutions deliver business value and align with governance standards. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven leadership of data science/R&D teams and tech innovation.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models in large-scale enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor a team of data scientists building predictive models and AI solutions.
• Lead design and deployment of AI/data-driven applications with product, business and engineering teams.
• Communicate complex analytics to senior leadership for strategic decisions.
• Manage end-to-end model development lifecycle: planning, execution, risk management, delivery.
• Ensure governance, explainability, fairness, and compliance in AI/ML implementations.
• Collaborate with leaders to embed AI into workflows and drive adoption.
• Drive research initiatives and pilot projects for GenAI and agentic tech.
• Monitor production GenAI models, implement drift monitoring and retraining.
