Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Applied AI ML Director in Risk Management & Compliance to lead a high‑performing data science team. You will shape AI strategy across Market, Country and Principal Risk, driving GenAI initiatives and ensuring governance, explainability, and value delivery.

You will mentor teams, review production AI/ML solutions, and collaborate with Product, Engineering and business units to integrate AI into critical workflows, enabling rapid prototyping and scalable impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data science and analytics.
• Proven track record deploying AI/ML models at scale.
• Leadership of data science/R&D teams.
• Strong background in modern data platforms and cloud technologies.
• Experience with AI governance, explainability and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a data science team developing predictive models, prompt-based LLM solutions and agentic systems.
• Lead design, build, and deployment of AI/data-driven apps with Product, Business and Engineering teams.
• Distill complex analyses for senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
• Own end-to-end model development lifecycle including risk management and governance.
• Ensure responsible AI with explainability and compliance.
• Collaborate with leaders to embed AI into workflows and drive efficiency.
• Integrate data science solutions into operational processes for adoption.
• Guide research and pilot projects on GenAI and agentic tech.
• Implement drift monitoring and model retraining for accuracy.
