Job summary

Nub News in Warwick is seeking a Head of Analytics & Business Insights to partner with the SLT to drive commercial decisions through high-quality analysis and insights. This newly created role focuses on pricing data, margin insight and external market understanding to challenge performance and boost value.

You will build dashboards, ensure data quality, and translate complex data into actionable business stories for senior stakeholders; hybrid working 3 days in office in the West Midlands.

We are looking for a candidate with a high level of business acumen who is passionate about understanding the numbers and telling the story in an impactive way to senior stakeholders. You will be key to the business capability to improve margin, enhance competitiveness and customer value by leveraging, analysing and collating information relating to pricing data, margin insight and external marketing understanding to challenge performance and drive commercial strategic decisions. This isn't just about having your 'finger on the pulse'- it's driving the flow and pace of actionable data.Key areas of focus will include:Identification of pricing opportunities through improved market & Industry insightCommercial challenge and action planningHighlighting potential risks and concernCreating business dashboards & presentationsEnsuring rigour of data quality & governanceTracking and driving the use of insight across the commercial teams so that trends, risks and opportunities are actionedThe successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:We seek a highly articulate candidate someone educated to degree/ master's level or equivalent.You must have great communication and stakeholder management ability across finance, commercial and senior leadership teamsExperience in Power BI, data analysis and data analysis tools with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insight.Experience working with pricing, product, customer, sales and financial data with a strong understanding of margin, discounting, competitiveness and commercial performance.Ability to interpret external market trends and industry movementAn analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability and attention to detailAble to work with business support teams (not directly manage them) to get the information and data you need to deliver your outcomesThis is a hybrid role (typically 3 days in the office).Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent full-time basis without the requirement for sponsorship.
