Job summary

Causeway is seeking a Head of the Strategic Programme Management Office (SPMO) in Gerrards Cross to lead AI-native governance and deliver transformation at scale. You will shape the SPMO operating model, drive portfolio health insights, and partner with executives on strategic decision-making.

You will champion rapid experimentation, create SLAs for approvals, and develop capability across teams to thrive in an AI-first environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a PMO/SPMO in a technology-driven organisation undergoing rapid growth or transformation.
• Proven track record delivering portfolio governance and reporting at pace in complex, fast-moving environments.
• Experience building intake/front-door processes with SLAs, accountability frameworks and proportionate governance.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior leadership with credibility to challenge and advise.
• Hands-on portfolio discovery and reconciling reporting across teams from a standing start.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the SPMO operating model, ensuring governance is outcome-focused, proportionate, and agile with AI-native delivery patterns.
• Establish consolidated view of all in-flight projects with AI-driven metrics and velocity tracking.
• Lead portfolio reviews and governance forums, ensuring decisions are tracked and actions executed.
• Own front-door processes for rapid experiments and governance tied to AI-native delivery.
• Lead human change management for AI-native transformation and upskill teams.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to align portfolio health with strategic objectives.
• Develop and nurture SPMO capability and leadership within the team.
