Job summary

Cluett Reeve is seeking an experienced Head of Agency for Dorset to lead a commercial property team across sales, lettings and advisory. You will win new instructions, develop client relationships and drive growth while mentoring the Dorset team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within commercial property agency and/or surveying.
• Strong knowledge of the Dorset commercial property market.
• Track record of winning instructions and developing client relationships.

• Ability to manage multiple instructions.
• Leadership experience or mentoring a team.
• MRICS qualification desirable but not essential.

Salary: £45,000 £75,000 depending on experience + performance-related incentives

Are you an experienced Commercial Property Agent or Surveyor looking for the opportunity to take the lead and make a real impact?

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded Head of Agency to lead and grow a successful commercial property agency team in Dorset.

This is a senior opportunity for someone with a strong track record across commercial property sales, lettings and client advisory, who enjoys winning new business, developing long-term client relationships and leading a team to achieve its full potential.

The Role

As Head of Agency, you will take responsibility for leading commercial property instructions across Dorset, from initial acquisition through to successful completion.

You will play a key role in winning new instructions, developing existing client relationships and driving the continued growth of the agency, while providing leadership, mentoring and support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial property sales and lettings instructions from acquisition through to completion.
• Generate new business opportunities and actively develop new and existing client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to win new instructions and grow the agency's market presence.
• Undertake property inspections, valuations and viewings where appropriate.
• Negotiate transactions on behalf of landlords, tenants, vendors and purchasers.
• Prepare agency reports, marketing recommendations and regular client updates.
• Provide high-quality commercial property advice to clients.
• Lead, support and mentor junior members of the team.
• Take responsibility for the performance and development of the Dorset agency team.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing growth of the agency.
• Build strong relationships with property owners, occupiers, investors and other key stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for an experienced commercial property professional who combines strong agency expertise with a genuine commercial and business development mindset.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience within commercial property agency and/or surveying.
• Strong knowledge of the Dorset commercial property market.
• A demonstrable track record of winning instructions and developing client relationships.
• Experience across commercial property sales and lettings.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple instructions effectively.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial and commercially focused approach.
• The confidence to work independently and make sound commercial decisions.
• Previous experience of leading, managing or mentoring a team.
• MRICS qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
