University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in Leicestershire is seeking a Consultant in Clinical Oncology to join the existing Consultants in delivering a full and comprehensive oncology service across the region.

The post emphasises Head and Neck tumor management, MDT collaboration, involvement in research and trials, and opportunities to develop other specialist interests within the Centre’s strategic framework (2023-2030).

Responsabilidades

• Undertake clinical and managerial responsibility for agreed oncology specialties and patients.
• Ensure continuity of patient care in liaison with colleagues and maintain department functioning.
• Participate in MDTs, maintain national standards and engage in peer review.
• Engage in research and register patients for clinical trials.
• Share clinical standards with the MDT and centre.
• Maintain professional standards and ensure compliance with national and local quality systems.
• Work within the CMG multidisciplinary team.
• Commit to clinical governance through audits and continuing medical education.
• Co-operate with local management and contribute to medical management.
• Be included in on-call rotas with consultants.
