Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust invites applications for a Consultant Clinical Oncologist covering Head & Neck and Breast cancer services. The appointee will work across UHCW and SWUFT, contributing to site-specific MDTs and delivering inpatient and outpatient care at the Arden Cancer Centre and associated units.

The post includes involvement with a dedicated CNS team, integrated Clinical Trials Centre, and development of treatment protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Take ongoing responsibility for patients under their care.
• Provide a consultation service and advisory support to other clinical colleagues within the Trust and Primary Care.
• Develop close collaborative links with clinicians in their specialties and help develop services, protocols and guidelines to high standards.
• Attend site-specific MDTs and participate in the multidisciplinary care team with Medical Oncologists, Clinical Oncologists, Surgeons, junior staff, specialist nursing, Therapists, Dietitians, social workers, Palliative Care and Psychology services.
