Job summary

Prestwick Care Group in Alnwick is recruiting a Head Housekeeper to lead and oversee high cleanliness standards within the care home. The role involves managing housekeeping staff, planning cleaning and laundry regimes, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Experience of working with the relevant client group.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player.
• Satisfactory DBS check.
• Genuine interest in high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise cleaning and laundry provision and staff.
• Ensure staff comply with company policies.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Create and maintain cleaning and laundry regimes for all areas.
• Prepare housekeeping and laundry rotas with the Home Manager.
• Ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Thorough cleaning of all areas (dusting, vacuuming, polishing, restocking).
• Shampooing carpets.
• Cleaning curtains and furniture.
• Empty and clean waste bins.
• Liaise with the Home Manager to maximise standards.
