Job summary

Welford Healthcare is seeking a Head Housekeeper for Windmill Court Care Home in Wadebridge, Cornwall. You will lead and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring a clean, homely environment for residents and staff across bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and dining areas.

This role requires a compassionate, team-oriented approach, good communication, and the ability to work alternate weekends. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, a workplace pension, and free uniform and parking.

Head Housekeeper

Hours: 40 per week

Location: Windmill Court Care Home, St Minver, Wadebridge, Cornwall, PL27 6RD

We are looking for a Head Housekeeper/Head Cleaner to join our friendly Nursing Home team.

You will be responsible for leading and supervising the housekeeping team while maintaining a clean and homely environment for our residents. Working in all areas of the home from bedrooms and bathrooms to lounges and dining rooms, the tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means you’ll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the staff working to support them.

Skills and Experience:

• The ability to lead and work as part of a team
• Experience working as a Housekeeper or Cleaner
• Caring, and compassionate nature
• The desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others
• Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends
