Job summary

CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED seeks a Head Housekeeper at Watford House Care Home in High Peak to lead the housekeeping team, ensuring clean and welcoming spaces for residents. The role requires oversight of rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, with emphasis on hygiene, infection control and efficiency.

You will manage daily operations, monitor quality and supplies, and guide staff through training and leadership.

Job description

Our residential home is in the beautiful High Peak, providing high quality Residential, Respite and Dementia care for 36-residents.

• £13.41 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment is maintained at all times. This is a key leadership role where your standards and attention to detail will directly impact daily life and overall experience.

You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.

Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
