Job summary

The Borough Arms in Bodmin is seeking a part-time Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and deliver a warm, home-from-home experience for guests. You will be a hands-on leader with strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring clean, tidy spaces and smooth front-of-house operations.

You’ll be responsible for training the team, maintaining high standards, and collaborating with other departments to uphold excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in housekeeping leadership is desirable.
• Ability to train and develop a housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Head up the housekeeping team and ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain a welcoming, home-from-home guest experience.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
• Provide training and support to housekeeping staff.

The Borough Arms is a charming traditional pub that’s steeped in history and blessed with spectacular surroundings. Nestled along the famous Camel Trail, the building dates back to the 1850s when its original purpose was to service trains taking china clay from the moor down to the port at Padstow.

Part time opportunity! We’re looking for a Head Housekeeper to join our hard working but close-knit team. You’ll head up the housekeeping team, ensuring a fantastic home away from home experience for all our guests. You will be a hands‑on, can do, leader, combining your natural ability to communicate with your outstanding organisational skills.
