  • Length of service awards, ranging from 1 year to 3, 5, 10 and 20-year rewards and more!
The Role

As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Housekeeping department. You will lead, motivate and develop your team while ensuring our bedrooms and public areas consistently meet Hilton's standards.

Working closely with the hotel's senior leadership and operational teams, you will ensure the department is well organised, appropriately resourced and focused on delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, motivating and developing the Housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Ensuring bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house areas meet Hilton's cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Planning daily operations and deploying the team effectively according to occupancy and business requirements.
  • Managing departmental rotas, productivity and labour costs.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and developing team members.
  • Carrying out regular room and public-area inspections and addressing standards promptly.
  • Managing performance, attendance and conduct effectively and fairly.
  • Creating a positive working environment where team members feel valued, supported and accountable.
  • Working collaboratively with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to resolve guest and operational issues.
  • Managing linen, amenities, equipment and departmental stock effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and all relevant hotel policies and procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities to continuously improve standards, productivity and the overall guest experience.
What we're looking for
To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of housekeeping operations, room standards and quality control.
  • Have proven experience of managing rotas, staffing levels and departmental productivity.
  • Be able to lead, motivate, coach and develop a diverse team.
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively within a fast-paced operation.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering high standards.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across departments.
  • Be confident managing performance and addressing operational issues when standards are not being achieved.
  • Have a good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements within a housekeeping environment.
  • Be comfortable using hotel systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have the flexibility to meet the operational requirements of the hotel
While not essential, the ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience working within a recognised international hotel brand, ideally Hilton or a comparable full-service hotel brand.
Have experience working within a branded hotel environment, with a strong understanding of brand standards, quality assurance and guest experience expectations.
Have experience managing a Housekeeping department within a high-volume, full-service hotel.
Have previous experience of Hilton systems, standards and ways of working.
Demonstrate a track record of improving housekeeping standards, team performance and guest satisfaction.
Have experience supporting or preparing for brand quality audits or inspections.

Previous Hilton experience would be advantageous but is not essential
