Job summary

Hilton Belfast is seeking a dynamic Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to lead the events team on a flexible 24-hour contract. You will oversee setup, supervise staff, and ensure flawless service for corporate meetings, galas, and banquets.

The role rewards proactive leadership, keen attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with kitchen, bar and operations. You’ll motivate the team, manage guest expectations, and uphold Hilton service standards.

• Previous experience in a conference, banqueting, or hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to oversee multiple events in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the setup and breakdown of conference and banquet events.
• Leading and motivating the conference and banqueting team.
• Coordinating with kitchen, bar, and operations for smooth event execution.
• Acting as point of contact for clients during events and handling changes.
• Monitoring service standards and ensuring hotel procedures are followed.
• Training and mentoring staff to boost service quality.
• Managing event stock levels and equipment.

We deliver outstanding events, from corporate meetings to grand banquets. As a Conference and Banqueting Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing event setups, guiding the team, and ensuring seamless service throughout every function.

Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

• Supervising the setup and breakdown of conference and banquet events to ensure all details meet client expectations.
• Leading and motivating the conference and banqueting team to deliver exceptional service.
• Coordinating with the kitchen, bar, and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
• Acting as a point of contact for clients during events, handling any requests or last‑minute changes.
• Monitoring service standards, ensuring all team members adhere to hotel procedures and guest expectations.
• Training and mentoring staff to enhance service skills and efficiency.
• Managing stock levels of event supplies, including linen, tableware, and equipment.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are met within the event spaces.
• The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.

• Previous experience in a conference, banqueting, or hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach.
• Ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, event logistics, and health and safety regulations.
• Flexible approach to work, with availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
